We’ve got the script, programme, pamphlet and cast list all ready for you to take a look.

We really enjoyed putting on the story of Elizabeth and Zechariah and hope that all our audiences appreciated our take on this important Christian tale.

Bexhill Observer: Christian drama group celebrates 20th play with festive production

Okay, yep we’re a little behind on our news so please bear with us.

Back in December Christian Voices were proud to perform our 20th production, Holy Light.

When we look at the story of the Shepherds and the appearance of the Angel to them, perhaps it is good to think of the effect such an event would have on them?
What would you do in these rather unusual circumstances?

Attached is the announcement in the Bexhill Observer (Friday, 9th December 2016) of the dates for the performances and some quotes from the interested parties (including the clergy!)

Bexhill Observer: Christian group’s musical raises £625 for charity

Wow!

Following up on our post back in October,we can now say that the total raised for SASBAH by the Christian Voices play The Miraculous Birth was a staggering £625!

A huge thank you to all those who attended the performances and gave so very generously to this wonderful cause.
We really enjoyed putting on the play and hope that all enjoyed this little told but vital (in more ways than one) story of the New Testament.

Attached is the snippet from the Bexhill Observer announcing this “miraculous” sum on Friday, November 2016.

Bexhill Observer: Christian drama group holding play to raise funds for good cause

Christian Voices are finishing off rehearsals now for the next play “The Miraculous Birth” (no, the other one.)

The Bexhill Observer ran this article to announce the show dates (see below) and our fund raising  effort for SASBAH.

“SASBAH is a registered charity (No. 247430) formed in 1965 to help meet the growing needs for those in Sussex with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus to live their lives to the full.”

The Miraculous Birth

No, the other one!

Elizabeth and Zechariah have been together many years and have long since come to the conclusion that their path in life does not include children. But how will they and their friends and family react to news, so late in life, that this is about to change?

The next Christian Voices play, The Miraculous Birth, tells the story of the birth of John the Baptist.  From angelic proclamation, an election, a birth, twoo wuv, another angelic proclamation – this play has it all.

The play is written by Alan Young and the songs are written by Dave Chamberlin.

Come and hear our take on this wonderful story of hope, prayers answered and glorious miracles.  You can join us at the following venues – you’re all most welcome!

  • Saturday, 8th October, 3:00pm, Ninfield Methodist Church Hall
  • Sunday, 9th October, 3:00pm, St. Martha’s Church, Little Common
  • Wednesday, 12th October, 7:45pm, Christchurch Methodist Church
  • Thursday, 13th October, 7:45pm, St. Michael’s Church
  • Saturday, 15th October, 6:30pm, Christ The King Church, Eastbourne
  • Sunday, 16th October, 9:45am, St. Peter’s Community Centre, Bexhill

The performances will be in aid of SASBAH, Sussex Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus.  The motto of this wonderful organisation is:

“Working with those in Sussex who have Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to create and develop their best opportunities”

SASBAH is a registered charity in England No. 247430.
