Christian Voices recently received this kind letter of thanks from Maureen Daley, Scheme Manager for Homecall.
Homecall were the charity we selected to raise funds for as part of our recent run performing The Wedding at Cana.
Homecall support blind and partially sighted people in the Bexhill region. The emphasis is on human contact and simply relieving the isolation many visually impaired people suffer.
In their own words:
Homecall was established in February 1985 to recruit, select and train volunteers (visitors) for a home visiting scheme that would help the substantially visually impaired maintain their independence, whilst relieving their social isolation. Home visiting is a very important contribution to community care. We are NOT a home help service.
Christian Voices were very pleased to have raised £400 for Homecall.
