Justice from the Judge

Christian Voices’ first play of 2019 saw us performing a biblical drama called Justice from the Judge.

A widow is wronged and seeks justice from a corrupt Judge who does not respect or fear God. She will not stop asking the Judge until she is given justice.

A theme throughout the play is the power of prayer. Do we persist with our prayer life? Have we lost our communication with God or struggling to start that conversation in the first place?

In 2019 the play was performed six times by Christian Voices. The play was written by Alan Young, the songs composed by Dave Chamberlin and directed by Jac Young.

The play is based on Luke 18 verses 1-8, sometimes called The Parable of the Unjust Judge or The Parable of the Persistent Widow.
